There seems to be very few incumbents running according to your list. Would it be possible to note "no incumbent running" or something to that effect where appropriate? By the way, Florence Shapiro is listed as running for state senate district 8 - but there is no indication she is the incumbent - she's held that position for 16 years.

Here's a link to the independent candidates. Seem to be lots of these candidates as well!

Is this just the contested races? It would seem to be that way.

In my opinion, both the Republicans and Democrats have failed to represent this nation as they swore to do upon taking office. Let's look to our Constitution and what the founding fathers and mothers of this great nation fought so hard for and be loyal to them and to it.

It should be clear that incumbents, Florence Shapiro included (unfortunately) are indicated by being italicized.

Who are the MOST conservative
by John Jay  2010-01-07 01:06:44
Here are the Libertarian Candidates, who in most ways are very "conservative" depending on your definition.

So it really depends on your definition of conservative. If it's to obey the original intent of the constitution, the Libertarians might be your candidates.

All I can say is we must insure in one way or another we must throughly scrutinize and selcet possible candidates based on their past records and actions, not just what they verbalize as their intentions. This information is very helpful,

First, thank you for your site and the info. Most of us are here as concerned citizens. It would be nice to not get 'tacky' comments to questions such as how do we tell the incumbent, etc. It's ok to ask! Also would appreciate snide remarks left unsaid such as "(unfortunately)". We need voting records and can make our own decisions. It would be nice for some info as to what the different colored font means. I can 'guess' but would have been nice for a little info. Again, thx for the info.

How does a candidate get added to the report if they are not an incumbent--or can they?
