Too many discussions center on what we would like to see but not so much on what we can DO, now, ourselves. Rallies, protests, emails and calls etc. only made Congress pause a bit. They went ahead and passed TARP, the "Stimulus", and are running hellbent-for-leather toward Obamacare and Cap-n-Trade even though a LOUD and clear majority of people opposed all of these.
What WOULD make them sit up and listen? The crying of those who buy them, I guess. And among the many Buyers of Votes are some we can smack: the megabanks Chase, Bank of America, and Citi. The last two are insolvent, and a bank run would crush them. Chase is the worst of the Corrupters, and though strong would reel if we persuaded enough folks to pull out their deposits and stop using their credit cards. Plenty of good small, local banks and credit unions that offer all the electronic banking and credit cards the megabanks do. Citi and BoA would likely fall if a sudden run occurred.
How about a national Bank Slap on Jan 5th, 2010 (the one-year anniversary of this 111th Congress)?

That would be a great idea if we could get millions of people to do it. But-Too many people have maxed out their credit cards- I don't think they can do this. Or do they close their accounts then just pay them off monthly? That could work. That’s what I did to my sears account when their APR jumped up to 26.9%. Outrageous.
